Quentin Tarantino's Surprising Choices for Best Films of 2010


The director released his list of 20 favorites.

Quentin Tarantino has released a list of his 20 favorite movies of the year, and at the top is ... Toy Story 3?

That's right, the director of Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and the Kill Bill movies has chosen the animated threequel as his favorite film of 2010.

And it's not the only animated movie to make his list: The Rapunzel-themed Tangled came in at No. 5, while How to Train Your Dragon landed at No. 17.

The rest was a mix of comedies and dramas, including such Oscar contenders as The Social Network, Tarantino’s No. 2 pick of the year. Network was followed by Animal Kingdom at No. 3 and I Am Love at No. 4.

Rounding out the top 10 were True Grit, The Town, Greenberg, Cyrus and Enter the Void.

The list was printed at the Tarantino Archives website, which offered only one comment from the director, on No. 10, Enter the Void: "Hands down best credit scene of the year … Maybe best credit scene of the decade. One of the greatest in cinema history."
